Our goal at JR Chains is to get the best out of a bicycle chain. All work steps are carried out with meticulous dedication out of a passion for cycling. All our chains are "Made in Germany" and are finished for you in Bavaria.
Ever since Team Sky coined the term "marginal gains", every hard-training cyclist not only wants to optimize their training and themselves, but also take their equipment to a new level of performance. There are a multitude of possibilities. Faster wheels, lighter components or simply a half-full bottle in the frame. Not everything really makes sense. However, when we went looking for optimization potential, we found one component that makes a real difference and is not considered by many cyclists - waxed chains.

So we started to carefully degrease our bicycle chains and then hot wax them. After several adjustments and optimizations, we had found what we considered to be the ideal process - the first JR Chain was born.
The advantages of waxed chains are obvious: thanks to the wax treatment, the chain runs through the bike's drivetrain with noticeably less resistance. It always stays clean in wet, dusty and muddy conditions, which in turn makes it run more smoothly and protects expensive drive components such as the cassette, chainrings and derailleur pulleys from wear. Whether on a road bike, triathlon bike, MTB or gravel bike, JR Chains make "marginal gains" noticeable and help you get the best out of your drivetrain.
